Associate Professor Anuradha Prakki is the leading researcher who proposed the incorporation of epigatocatechin-3-gallate functionalized methacrylate monomers into resinous materials, with promising results arising from their antibacterial activity. In addition to solidifying the partnership established between her and the Assistant Professor Luciana Fávaro Francisconi dos Rios, for Karin Landmayer's sandwich PhD at UoT (Jul-Dec 2023), the visit will allow USP graduate students to get to know Professor Anuradha, the possibilities related to academic career in Canada, and the universe of Bioinspired Dentistry in depth. Besides, it constitutes an excellent tool to promote the discussion of innovative ideas and the definition of strategic actions for a possible expansion of UoT-FOUSP partnerships. It will give rise, finally, to the exchange of knowledge and experience of mutual interest, fostering the development of the audience.
